OPPO F17 and F17 Pro debut: Perforated screen, 4 square cameras, 30W fast charging

After launching the F15 earlier this year, OPPO recently introduced two new F-series smartphones in India, called OPPO F17 and OPPO F17 Pro. Both phones have perforated screens, four square cameras on the back, and the overall design is quite similar.

OPPO F17 Pro is touted as the thinnest and lightest smartphone in the F-series. It weighs 164 grams and measures 7.48mm in thickness, despite having a rather large 4015mAh battery.

The device uses a 6.43 inch Super AMOLED screen, Full HD + resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels) and occupies 90.7% of the front area. In addition, the device is also integrated with a fingerprint sensor under the screen, which can be unlocked in just 0.3 seconds.

Inside, the F17 Pro carries the hardware power from MediaTek’s Helio P95 processor, combined with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of standard UFS 2.1 memory. On the other hand, it also supports expandable storage capacity by memory card, integrating HyperEngine technology to provide the best gaming experience for users.

OPPO F17 Pro is equipped with 4 symmetrical folding cameras in the square module on the back, including 48MP Samsung GM1ST f / 1.7 main sensor, 8MP f / 2.2 super wide-angle camera, 2MP macro camera and depth sensor. 2MP for portrait photography. It has dual 16MP + 2MP camera for taking selfies and video calling.

The phone comes with a 4015mAh capacity battery, supports VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 fast charging technology with a maximum capacity of up to 30W, can be fully charged in 53 minutes. Other specifications include dual SIM support, Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, USB-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack.

As expected, OPPO F17 Pro will start being sold in India from September 7, with a retail price of INR 22990 (about 7.3 million). The device has 3 color variations for users to choose from, including Black, Blue and White.

For OPPO F17 , this phone also has a hole-punch screen design with single selfie camera, 4 cameras on the back are arranged similar to the Pro version. It uses a 6.4-inch AMOLED FHD + panel, with a “mole” in the upper left corner to house the 16MP selfie camera.

The OPPO F17 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 662 processor, combined with 4GB to 8GB RAM and 64GB / 128GB internal storage. In addition, the device also has a 4000mAh capacity battery and supports 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 fast charging, uses a USB-C port and is pre-installed with the Android 10-based ColorOS 7.2 interface when sold.

Regarding the camera, OPPO has changed the 48MP main sensor of the F17 Pro to a 16MP f / 2.2 camera. However, the remaining 3 camera sensors of these two phones are identical, still the 8MP super wide-angle camera and the two 2MP cameras.

Currently, there is no information about the price and release time of the OPPO F17.
