OPPO “encroached” on the low-cost tablet segment, preparing to launch OPPO Pad?

According to statistics from a retailer in Vietnam, tablet models (both iPad and Android) have had impressive growth in purchasing power since the COVID-19 pandemic forced people to stay at home.

Grasping this trend, many Android smartphone manufacturers have also launched many tablet models to serve users, most recently realme with realme Pad or Nokia with Nokia T20 (sold genuine in Vietnam). According to new information, OPPO is also trying to capture a small share of the Android tablet market in the near future.

Specifically, information about the new OPPO tablet model has appeared quite a lot recently. Dubbed OPPO Pad, this will be a mid-range tablet model with a reasonable price. Leaker Digital Chat Station has also published some information about the configuration of the OPPO Pad. Accordingly, the device will come with an 11-inch Full HD + screen with 120Hz refresh rate, powerful performance with Snapdragon 870 processor, dual 13MP cameras on the back and 5MP selfie cameras on the front.

In addition, a leaked image has also shown a few design details of OPPO Pad. If this image is authentic, then OPPO Pad will have a square design, square frame, screen with thin even edges.

OPPO Pad will have 6GB / 256GB memory (may have more options), 8080mAh battery and run on Android 11 with the new ColorOS 12 interface.

Regarding the price, according to Digital Chat Station, the price of OPPO Pad is expected to be about 2000 yuan, equivalent to 7 million VND for the standard version. This price will compete directly with Apple’s current popular iPad segment.
