OPPO A56 5G launched: Performance upgrade version of OPPO A55 but “reversed” camera and fast charging, priced at 5.7 million

Although it has just introduced OPPO A55 in Vietnam market, recently, OPPO has launched an upgraded version of OPPO A56 5G in the Chinese market. The new version brings a performance upgrade thanks to the new Dimensity processor, but cuts down on a few factors such as the camera or fast charging.

In terms of design, OPPO A56 almost keeps the design language of OPPO A55, only slightly changed in a few corners. The machine is finished from plastic, the camera cluster is located in the left corner of the back, but in terms of parameters, it is cut compared to OPPO A55. Specifically, OPPO A56 5G is only equipped with a dual camera cluster, reducing the resolution to only 13MP and a 2MP depth camera. The device has three color options: black, purple and blue.

On the front, OPPO A56 5G is equipped with a 6.5-inch screen, using an IPS LCD panel with the same resolution at HD +, no high refresh rate and 480 nits brightness. This screen uses a “water drop” design instead of the “O-dot mole” design like in the A55. The selfie camera has 8MP resolution.

In terms of performance, this is probably the most noticeable change in the A56 5G version. The device is equipped with Dimensity 700 5G processor, giving much stronger performance than Helio G35 on OPPO A55. The RAM capacity of the device is 6GB, 128GB memory. The battery has a capacity of 5000mAh but cuts fast charging to only 10W. The device runs on Android 11 platform with ColorOS 11.1 interface.

OPPO A56 5G will be on sale in China in the near future with a price of 1599 yuan, equivalent to 5.7 million. This converted price is nearly 1 million more expensive than the genuine price of OPPO A55 in Vietnam market. The device was discounted by 100 yuan in the first round of sales.
