Recently, OnePlus has officially introduced its next two high-end smartphones, the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro. This will be the successor to the OnePlus 8 series and the 8T series launched half a year ago.
OnePlus 9 & OnePlus 9 Pro
In terms of design, the OnePlus 9 series has a design identical to the previously leaked rumors. The machine is finished from sanded glass material on the back and metal frame. The camera cluster of this year’s OnePlus 9 series also has the same design as last year’s OnePlus 8T when placed in a rectangular module. Specifications include a 48MP wide-angle camera, a 50MP super wide-angle camera and a 2MP depth -imeter camera, the Pro version adds an 8MP 3.3X telephoto camera.
As announced by OnePlus, the camera on the OnePlus 9 series is tweaked by Hasselblad, one of the high-end camera brands in the professional photography world, so the company’s name is also printed next to the OnePlus 9’s camera.
On the front, the OnePlus 9 is equipped with a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED display with Full HD + resolution, while the Pro version is equipped with an LTPO Fluid2 AMOLED screen with QHD + resolution, which supports 1 billion colors. Both have a 120Hz refresh rate and support HDR10 +. This screen of the OnePlus 9 uses a “mole” design similar to its predecessors with a 16MP selfie camera.
In terms of performance, the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are both powered by the most powerful Snapdragon 888 chip, with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The battery of the machine has a capacity of 4500mAh, supports fast charging technology Warp Charge 65T with 65W capacity and Wireless Warp Charge 50 Wireless with a capacity of 15W (standard version) and 50W (Pro version). The OnePlus 9 series will run on Android 11 with the interface OxygenOS (international) and ColorOS (domestic China).
OnePlus 9 will be available in two color options: Winter Mist (purple), Astral Black (black), while the Pro version also has 2 color options: Morning Mist (white), Pine Green (blue). The starting price of each version is 729 USD and 1069 USD, equivalent to 16.8 million VND and 24.7 million VND.
In addition to the high-end OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro duo, OnePlus also launched another OnePlus 9R, focus and game processing capabilities. Basically the OnePlus 9R is a slightly downgraded version of the OnePlus 9, cuts down on the CPU and camera and is much cheaper than the price of the two standard OnePlus 9 versions.
In terms of design, the OnePlus 9R has a design that is quite similar to the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro, but the camera cluster is designed to feel a bit rough and not as beautiful as the two more expensive versions. The back of the device is still finished from glass and has a metal frame. In terms of camera parameters, the device is equipped with 48MP wide-angle camera, 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera, 5MP macro camera and 2MP depth-measuring camera, there is no cooperation with Hasselblad on this 9R.
On the front, the OnePlus 9R has the same screen specs as the OnePlus 9, including a 6.55 inch Full HD + 120Hz Fluid AMOLED screen, a “mole” design with a 16MP selfie camera.
In terms of performance, the 9R version will feature a Snapdragon 870 chip, 8GB / 12GB RAM and 128GB / 256GB storage. The battery of the device also has a capacity of 4500mAh and supports 65W fast charging.
