On hand Mi Band 6: Upgrade to a “borderless” screen, with SpO2 measurement, Vietnamese support is available, priced at VND 800,000

Recently, Xiaomi has officially introduced the Mi Band 6, the next generation of smart bracelets to succeed the Mi Band 5 launched last year. Similar to other smartband lines on the market, Xiaomi’s Mi Band 6 focuses on health monitoring features, supports connecting to phones to receive notifications and has a reasonable price in the segment under 1 million VND. .

The Mi Band 6 has a box design similar to its predecessor. The version we have is the domestic version which is hand-carried directly from China to the Vietnamese market, so the information in Chinese is printed on the box.

The accessory comes with only one USB cable. Mi Band 6 uses a magnetic suction charger similar to Mi Band 5

With the new charging design, Mi Band 6 users no longer have to completely remove the Mi Band body to charge like 4th generation or earlier.

This is Mi Band 6. We can see the first difference compared to previous Mi Band generations coming from the screen of the device. Mi Band 6 now has a “overflow” screen, removes the circular button and has rounded screen edges according to the camera body. Users will use 100% of gestures instead of using buttons. However, it is not clear why the bottom screen area is still a bit thicker than the other edges

The screen of the Mi Band 6 is quite bright. This screen is 1.56 inches in size, uses an AMOLED panel with color and has touch support. According to Xiaomi, the screen of Mi Band 6 is up to 50% larger than its predecessor

Xiaomi adds quite a few new watch faces and users can customize it to their liking just by pairing Mi Band 6 to a smartphone through two apps Mi Fit or Xiaomi Wear Lite (available on both Android and iOS).

Mi Band 6 uses the same design with Mi Band 5 and most smart bands on the market. The product has a silicone strap with unchanged wearing, suitable for most users today

The Mi Band 6’s silicon strap is quite easy to wear and easy to remove, user-friendly even when sweating a lot of hands

The bottom of the Mi Band 6 is where the sensors, the Mi logo and the magnet charging pin are located. This year, due to the addition of the ability to measure oxygen saturation in the blood (SpO2 index), Mi Band 6 has added a completely new sensor next to the traditional heart rate sensor. The product has the ability to measure heart rate and SpO2 continuously

SpO2 measurement mode is set right in the menu interface

Mi Band 6 integrates basic health monitoring modes such as heart rate measurement, calorie calculation, step count and sleep tracking feature by measuring the quality of the user’s breathing while sleeping.

The product integrates up to 30 different training modes, including dancing and Zumba dancing in addition to running, swimming, outdoor cycling …

Because it is a domestic version of China, Mi Band 6 does not currently support Vietnamese language in the interface, but only supports English and Chinese.

However, a pretty big plus for Mi Band 6 is that it supports 100% Vietnamese language display without font errors. Users can buy to experience without having to worry about the ability to display Vietnamese or wait a few months for Xiaomi to release a software update to support more languages. However, due to screen size limitations, Mi Band 6 cannot display all the content if the message is too long.

In addition, Mi Band 6 integrates with the ability to take pictures remotely (remote capture) via Bluetooth connection, users can enable this feature through the Lab item in the settings of the Mi Fit app.

The product has a battery life of about 14 days, the same as the previous generation

Xiaomi Mi Band 6 is currently sold in the Chinese market with a starting price of 229 yuan, equivalent to 800,000 VND for the standard version that does not support NFC.
