Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Phong Nha, Deputy Director of Telecommunications Department (Ministry of Information and Communications), said the MVNO model is a new model in Vietnam. Currently, Vietnam has 2 carriers provided under the MVNO model.

The total number of subscribers in the Vietnamese market is about 126 million. However, the market has a low APRU and is strongly competing with OTT services. Therefore, the Vietnamese mobile market needs new wind. Reddi is targeting niche markets and can tap into new markets and technologies like the 5G network when it officially launches the service.

MVNO model can quickly deploy services across the country and save infrastructure and resources. This model will bring new value to customers. Reddi was born as the policy of the Ministry of Information and Communications from 2009 and continues this policy. The Telecommunications Department also asked Reddi to comply with the law, manage the subscribers and move to keep the network unchanged. Mr. Nguyen Phong Nha believes that if Reddi has excellent services, it will attract subscribers and promote healthy competition.
