Nubia Z40 Pro launched: Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 9x periscope telephoto camera, magnetic wireless charging, priced from 12.3 million

Today (February 25), Nubia – ZTE’s sub-brand has just launched a new high-end smartphone model in China, fully called Nubia Z40 Pro. This is considered an upgraded version of the Z30 Pro that the company introduced last year, which comes with a variety of improvements in specifications and design, especially the rear camera cluster.

Nubia Z40 Pro owns a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED screen with Full HD + resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The screen of the device supports 100% DCI-P3 color range, 10-bit color depth and uses a punch-hole design with a “mole” placed in the middle to accommodate the 16MP selfie camera.

Inside, Nubia Z40 Pro brings hardware power from Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, combined with up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 memory. The device is pre-installed with Android 12 operating system with MyOS 12 interface when sold.

Moving to the back, Nubia Z40 Pro is equipped with a 3-camera system arranged vertically and placed in a rectangular module, including a 64MP main sensor Sony IMX787 with OIS, a 50MP super wide-angle camera with a viewing angle of 116 degrees. and 8MP periscope telephoto camera with 9x hybrid zoom.

The phone supports dual SIM, 5G network connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GNSS, NFC and has a USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port. In addition, it also has an in-display fingerprint sensor. and dual speakers with DTS:X Ultra support.

Nubia Z40 Pro has an anti-fingerprint AG glass back, comes with a 5000mAh battery and supports 80W fast wired charging. This smartphone also has a special version with 66W fast charging and a smaller 4600mAh battery capacity, but is the first Android device to support 15W magnetic wireless charging technology.

As expected, Nubia Z40 Pro will officially hit shelves in China from March 2 with a starting price of 3399 yuan (about 12.3 million) for the standard version, while the magnetic wireless charger is priced from 4299 RMB (about 15.5 million VND). A limited edition with a theme inspired by the series “The Outcast” is sold for 4699 yuan (about 17 million dong).
