Specifically, a leaker named Peng Peng Jun posted a post on the Weibo social network revealing that Huawei is planning to use satellite waves to assist in communication, which Apple will soon equip for the line. The upcoming iPhone 13.

However, unlike the international satellite system, China has deployed a navigation satellite system called Beidou on its own, exclusively for Chinese users. Thanks to this system, supported smartphones can send messages via satellite waves in the absence of phone signal. Now that Huawei’s high-end machines have supported extremely high-precision positioning through Beidou, taking advantage of the Beidou system to deploy satellite communications will not be a difficult thing.

With Huawei, this feature is likely to be equipped by Huawei on the Mate50 generation, which is expected to launch in the first half of next year. According to sources, the US’s imposition of an embargo on Huawei has caused the manufacturer to delay the installation of satellite communication technology on smartphones. The P50 series launched this year could have integrated this technology.
