The private messages show the madness that Elon Musk can do when surrounded by friends who are all rich and famous.

At the beginning of the latest article, the WSJ reporter said that if there is any doubt that he thinks the most, it is Elon Musk – CEO of Tesla!

During the trial of the lawsuit Elon Musk demanded to take over Twitter and then “turned the car around”, many private messages of the world’s richest man were revealed. These messages inadvertently showed the extent to which the businessman’s acquaintances and confidants received favor from him.

The exchanges revealed that Musk’s network of friends all encouraged him to make the Twitter acquisition, which he now desperately tries to back out of. There is little criticism of Musk’s goals.

It all creates a rare glimpse into the madness that the richest man in the world can cause when he is surrounded by people who are only rich or famous.

The goals of those exposed to Musk seem very different. Some are now pledging to invest money in Musk’s acquisition, while others offer lengthy apologies for being unable or unwilling to give cash anymore.

One prominent message revealed that popular reporter Joe Rogan texted Musk: “I REALLY hope you buy Twitter. If it’s successful, we should throw a party.”

Marc Merrill, co-founder of video game developer Riot Games texted Musk: “You’re the hero Gotham needs.”

People named in this story did not respond to requests for comment or declined to comment. Musk’s legal team also declined to comment.

The messages show that Musk is also quick to correct those you misbehave. When investor Jason Calacanis said he was raising money from hundreds of retail investors to fund the Twitter deal, Musk sent a message to Calacanis: “Doing that makes me feel like I’m in a great spot. hope so”. Musk added: “Please stop.”

It took less than 30 seconds for Calacanis to apologize. “I just wanted to support you,” he wrote.

Musk responded with a heart emoji.

So far, it’s been difficult to determine how seriously Musk takes the advice of those around him. Musk has a reputation for being someone who likes to make decisions on a whim. The messages do not include contact information with Musk’s legal counsel and only some anonymous conversations with Jared Birchall, who pointed Musk to the Twitter deal.

The messages show a certain frankness from Musk in response. Many of my friends, who are already industry giants, get curt, late, or even no answers at all. On the day Musk’s Twitter stake was announced, hedge fund billionaire Kenneth Griffin texted Musk: “Love it!”.

Musk didn’t seem to respond.

When Will MacAskill, a famous philosophy professor, texted Musk to recommend crypto billionaire Sam Bankman-Fried to help Musk in his deal with Twitter, it took 13 hours for Musk to respond to the message and only simply said: “Does he have a huge sum of money?”

Subsequent filings show that Bankman-Fried did not invest in Musk’s deal to buy Twitter.
