Nokia launched the Android TV Box, priced at only 1 million VND

Nokia recently entered the Android TV device market to compete with big names like Amazon and Xiaomi. One of the company’s first Android TV products is the Nokia Media Streamer, which is sold in the Indian market at a fairly low price.

Nokia Media Streamer is a basic TV box running on Android 9.0 platform, supporting the ability to stream media content in Full HD resolution. The product is equipped with a 4-core chip of unknown codename, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. In addition, the machine also supports other technologies such as Wi-Fi by dual frequency 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz, Dolby Digital Audio or the ability to activate virtual assistant by remote control.

The Nokia Media Streamer remote has built-in function keys such as Google Assistant in the right corner, a quick access key for Netflix services and a quick access key ZEE5, a TV service provider in India with more than 100 TV channels.

With such basic specifications, it is not surprising that the Nokia Media Streamer’s price is quite cheap, only Rs 3499, equivalent to more than 1 million VND. Products will be on shelves exclusively on the e-commerce site FlipKart on August 28.

In India, the low-cost Android TV segment has been taken over by Amazon with the hugely popular Fire TV. With Nokia entering the market this time, users will have many new choices of brands.
