Nine bad habits need to be abandoned if you want to follow the IT industry

1. Do not read the document before using it

This is one of the worst but most common habits. Perhaps this habit arises from the friendliness of the "graphical interface" (GUI) that makes the user accustomed to the habit of groping without reading the instructions but also using the machine. This is nothing to worry about (very) normal users. However, if you intend to pursue the IT industry seriously, immediately abandon this disastrous habit because this is the biggest barrier to development. Solid knowledge is not … groping out. The manual is not unjustly written .

2. Surfing

This is also a bad and popular habit. Right on the forums, with the comments and instructions in Vietnamese are very condensed, clear and easy to understand, but there are still too many people just skim and then come back to ask questions. This is an extremely dangerous habit because it gives the mind the habit of surfing. This leads to the knowledge collected in a superficial, temporary and patchy way. If the opinions in Vietnamese are very condensed, clear and easy to understand but still not difficult to read carefully and meditate, the reference and synthesis of foreign books is almost impossible.

3. Imitate without thinking

When you begin to familiarize yourself with things in the IT industry, the easiest way is to imitate each step. If you keep your eyes closed but don't think about why you did so, don't try to question what happens behind those "steps", then quickly, you will create a disastrous habit. : imitate not thinking without thinking like a machine . From the step-by-step work available without thinking about turning into a habit, the ability to identify and think will be diminished. Not only that, this habit restrains knowledge penetration through a series of questions. Self-questioning is the way to force your brain to work and be the first stone to engage in intellectual development.

4. Fear hard

Fear is difficult to think about in all areas, but in the IT field, the habit of "fear of difficulty" is the habit of killing right at the beginning of acquaintance and development. There is no real job, it requires wisdom but is easy. The habit of "fear of difficulty" manifests itself from simple things like learning a foreign language (to be able to refer to a foreign language document) until it comes to facing difficulties while cultivating knowledge and experience. This habit is slowly ingrained and leads to a place where you don't want to and can't solve anything if you just feel a problem. This sentence should be avoided: the beginning of the problem, the hardship starts to get discouraged.

5. The excuse

The process of accumulating knowledge always has difficulties and obstacles. If I am not self-disciplined and self-strict, then no one in this world will discipline and sternly help me. From a non-disciplined and non-rigorous place, just a very short time can lead to disruption, fear, boredom and excuse for a breakdown that is often an excuse . The excuse is just to hide behind the excuse but the truth of the fall still exists. Stay away from things like "my poor family", "difficult circumstances", "because I am a newbie" but should know that countless others are like me and even harder than me. Remember, as soon as I used the excuse to institute then I was officially defeated.

6. "Go off and wait"

There is no real kind of knowledge in this world that forms the word "go off" and "welcome". "Instant noodles" have its deliciousness but it is "instant noodles" that cannot form a sumptuous and complete meal. True knowledge as well as food, it needs moderation, dosage and time to … digest. Thinking and "going off" habits always lead to terrible gaps in knowledge. These holes are not many and are not important when knowledge is limited and work needs are stubborn. However, once faced with difficulties and complexities in work and in life, the things that are "short-lived" are the root cause of the breakdowns and failures. Remember: don't go off and don't get ahead because there's no shortcut in the journey to find knowledge.

7. "Heard is …"

The "heard is …" cluster is a dizzying phrase. Any good science related to science cannot be based on "listening" but always needs to be based on scientific evidence and that evidence needs to be accurate and specific. It is because of the habit of "listening" to failing opportunities to explore and verify; precious opportunities to cultivate knowledge and experience. What is unclear should be explored and not "heard" but must be seen, analyzed and verified. If you don't get rid of this habit, the best way is not to be close to any science because it only takes failure and waste.

8. Belief and hope

In science, when it comes to results and creation or even the path to creation and results, there is absolutely no room for "faith" and "hope" in a blind way. The "restart" routine or "restart" the program with "hope" will fix the problem that has become an inherent habit. If there are no other changing conditions that have a "restart" of a million times and hopefully a million times, the results will still be the same. Do not "believe" and do not "hope" on the change of results if you do not control and change to make changes in the results. All activities from programming to system management, network management, security, reverse engineering …. even for ordinary users, when the results are not good, adjustments are necessary instead of repeating the same action and just … hopefully.

9. Not for intellect but for … "class"

Getting you into this industry is not about intellect, because of knowledge, because of contributing something useful to society, but because of some vague class. If you continue to plunge and choose a vague goal, you will never reach your destination. "Class" is a vague, useless and personal thing but when it turns into habits and goals to target, it brings nothing but failure from the beginning because there is absolutely no one. any direction. Cultivating knowledge is completely different from defending inferiority ("class").
