If you don't think you're addicted to social media, this new update from Facebook might tell you otherwise

Have your friends or family ever told you that you spend too much time on Facebook? Well, you won’t be needing their ‘input’ anymore because Facebook’s latest update will let you know for yourself.

The company announced that they will be releasing dashboards across Facebook and Instagram in August as part of the “time well-spent” movement. The movement’s goal is to get people off their devices and social media features every time something new is introduced.

Instagram received its dashboard last week and this week, they followed through with Facebook’s.

The dashboard will break down the time you’ve spent on the app by each day of the week.

It also comes with other additional features like ‘Manage Your Time’ which allows you to set how long you would want to use the app. After which, it will prompt you that you have reached the usage limit.

The Notification Settings menu has also been updated to include a ‘Mute Push Notification’ option which might cull your temptation to press on every notification that comes in.

To access the feature, tap on the Menu icon next to the Notification icon, tap on Settings & Privacy and ‘Your Time on Facebook’ will be located there.

However, just like all software updates, it will take awhile before reaching the Southeast Asian region. You’ll have to manage your screen time on your own for now.
