Netflix has announced plans to enter the online gaming segment, and today the Netflix Games service has officially been launched globally on the Android platform. Meanwhile, iOS users will have to wait a little longer.

Netflix’s online gaming service launched with 5 games: Stranger Things: 1984, Stranger Things 3: The Game, Shooting Hoops, Card Blast, and Teeter Up. Starting today, users can download these games from the Google Play Store, requiring a Netflix account to play.

After that, Netflix will start releasing its games right in the main app. When you access the Netflix app on Android, you’ll see a dedicated tab that includes all of Netflix’s games.

Although Netflix’s current number of games is very limited, the streaming service has acquired developer Oxenfree, to continue to launch more new titles in the future. These will be Netflix exclusive titles.

Currently, only Android devices can experience the Netflix Games service, with the monthly fee unchanged. Netflix confirmed that it will support the iOS platform, but there is no official launch date yet.
