Mr. Nham Chinh Phi suddenly raised his voice: Do not let Huawei face Google, we can overcome them

CEO, Nham Chinh Phi warned the US government that if his company does not have full access to the Android operating system to put on future smartphones, they will break the dominance of Google and Apple. with the world smartphone ecosystem – what he claims, a bad news for the US.

Nham told Sky News: ” If the US government does not allow Google to provide Android OS (for Huawei), the world will have a third operating system – and that will not be the best benefit for the country. America, when a small operating system comes out to the world . ”

Mr. Nham Chinh Phi, founder of Huawei.

When Huawei was blacklisted in the US in May, the company threatened to launch a new smartphone operating system. Named HongMeng in China and HarmonyOS in the international market, this multi-platform IoT operating system finally came out last week. But while the world wants to see a fast and lightweight smartphone platform, they get a low-latency, smart platform for smart TVs, cars and watches.

Also during the HarmonyOS launch, Richard Yu, head of Huawei’s consumer devices division, said it would only take ” one to two days ” to switch the OS to smartphones. But no one with technical knowledge really believes that.

That replacement would be a huge program that required the creation of a completely new application software ecosystem across the globe – something that even the forefront giants like Apple or Google would lose. More than a decade can be done.

Nham himself in an interview more than a month ago admitted that HongMeng – or HarmonyOS – is not “Plan B” to replace Android, and the company needs Google for its smartphones.

But if Huawei is really blocked from accessing Google, even if there is only a small chance, they will have to create an alternative product on their own. Perhaps that is why Mr. Nham warned Google (and Apple and the US government): “You cannot rule out the possibility that one day, a third operating system can surpass them.”

Many previous companies like Microsoft and Samsung also tried to do this and failed. But for a billion-dollar market like China, where Huawei is still having a big impact, they still have the opportunity to secure their own operating system.
