Besides the Moto Edge X30 which is the world’s first smartphone equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, Motorola also introduced a new smartphone called Moto Edge S30. This is the cheapest smartphone equipped with Snapdragon 888+ chip that users can find at the moment.
Due to the relatively cheap price of only 6.5 million, the Moto Edge S30 is only finished from a plastic back as well as a plastic frame. However, the design language of the machine is still relatively advanced. The back of the machine is roughened, curved on both sides for a comfortable grip. The main camera cluster is also beautifully designed, including three cameras: 108MP wide-angle camera, 13MP ultra-wide angle camera and a 2MP depth camera.
On the front, Motorola equips the product with a 6.8-inch screen, using an IPS LCD panel with Full HD + resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10 support. This screen is a “mole” screen with a 16MP selfie camera placed in the middle. The screen border is thin except for the slightly thick bottom border.
In terms of performance, this is the remarkable point of Moto Edge S30 when it is equipped with Snapdragon 888+ processor, the most powerful chip of 2021 appearing on many of the most high-end gaming smartphones today. In terms of performance over cost, perhaps Moto Edge S30 is the only smartphone on the market with such a powerful performance in the price segment of only 6.5 million.
Moto Edge S30 has 6GB/8GB or 12GB RAM, 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The battery has a capacity of 5000mAh but only supports 33W fast charging.
Moto Edge S30 will be on sale in the Chinese market with a starting price of 1799 yuan for the 6GB/128GB version, equivalent to 6.5 million VND. The most advanced version 12GB / 256GB also costs only 2399 yuan, equivalent to 8.7 million. The product has two color options black and blue.
