Most likely there will be no iPhone SE 4 with Touch ID on the side

Tram Ho

In a recent Bloomberg report, Mark Gurman said that many Apple fans expect the return of the Touch ID sensor on a new generation of iPhones. Unfortunately, so far, there has not been any leaked information that Apple is developing a new iPhone with Touch ID sensor.

We’ve seen the latest iPad, iPad Air, and iPad mini models with Touch ID integrated into the button on the top edge, but have never seen an iPhone model with the same function, and possibly in the future. neither does the future.

As the cheapest iPhone version, Apple’s iPhone SE has never been equipped with a Face ID sensor and only uses Touch ID like older iPhone models. Therefore, many users believe that Apple will make a change like the new iPad models, which is to move the Touch ID sensor on the iPhone SE to the side and change the design of the device.

There are many sources that believe that Apple will change the design of the iPhone SE to become similar to the iPhone XR, ie also removing the Home button and using a notch design. This possibility is very likely to happen, because the iPhone SE after so many years is still using the old design. However, that means that the Touch ID sensor on the Home button will be removed, or have to change its position.

“Mr” Ming-Chi Kuo has also made a comment that Apple will move the position of the Touch ID sensor to the side of the iPhone SE. This will make it possible for Apple’s low-cost iPhone to change its design, but still retain the Touch ID sensor and low cost.

The fourth-generation iPhone SE is likely to be released in 2024, with a 6.1-inch LCD screen and a notch design. However, so far there is no word on when Apple will make changes to the Touch ID sensor, so it remains a mystery.

It is also possible that Apple will find another way, or even completely remove the Touch ID sensor and completely equip Face ID for the low-cost iPhone SE line. We’ll need to wait a little longer to be sure.
