Mobile World profit drops to 1-year low

After 8 months, The Gioi Di Dong made a profit of 3,176 billion VND, completing 50% of the whole year 2022 plan.

Mobile World Investment Joint Stock Company has just announced its business results for the first 8 months of 2022.

Accordingly, the total revenue after 8 months is 92,283 billion dong and profit is 3,176 billion dong, up 18% and 6% over the same period last year.

In August alone, Mobile World’s revenue was about VND 10,413 billion, the lowest since October 2021 and profit of VND 295 billion, the lowest since September 2021.

In the revenue structure of 8 months, the telephone chain brought in 24,500 billion dong, electronics 48,800 billion dong and department stores 17,600 billion dong. The rest comes from other businesses.

Accumulating 8 months, Bach Hoa Xanh’s revenue decreased by 15%. Sales in August alone decreased by 20% compared to the peak of the same period. Bach Hoa Xanh has now finished the process of changing the new layout and closing inefficient stores. In the past 4 months, Bach Hoa Xanh has closed about 414 stores.

After restructuring, the average revenue of each Bach Hoa Xanh store reached VND 1.36 billion/store in August.

Regarding the remaining chains, Mobile World has 509 active An Khang pharmacies, 80 AVAKids stores and 12 AVASport stores.
