Officially August 17, 2021, Internet Explorer 11 will no longer be supported by Microsoft services, like Office 365, OneDrive, or Outlook. The Microsoft Teams web app will also stop supporting Internet Explorer 11 from November 30, 2020.

Microsoft is wanting its business customers to give up Internet Explorer 11. Earlier, Microsoft introduced an “IE Mode” in its new Edge Chromium browser, which allows loading old web pages specifically designed for compatible with Internet Explorer. This is seen as a feature to completely replace Internet Explorer.

In addition, Microsoft also plans to end the old Edge browser on March 9, 2021. After this date, the old version of Edge will no longer receive any security updates and bug fixes.

Microsoft has brought Windows 10 users to the new Edge Chromium browser, which is almost mandatory through Windows updates. Microsoft also said that the new Edge browser won’t be uninstalled, and will be available on all new Windows 10 devices.
