Microsoft is wanting its business customers to give up Internet Explorer 11. Earlier, Microsoft introduced an “IE Mode” in its new Edge Chromium browser, which allows loading old web pages specifically designed for compatible with Internet Explorer. In addition, Microsoft also plans to end the old Edge browser on March 9, 2021. After this date, the old version of Edge will no longer receive any security updates and bug fixes.

Microsoft has brought Windows 10 users to the new Edge Chromium browser, which is almost mandatory through Windows updates. Microsoft also said that the new Edge browser won’t be uninstalled, and will be available on all new Windows 10 devices.

Microsoft has been trying to get rid of Internet Explorer for many years now. In 2015, Microsoft launched the Edge browser, which was the beginning of the end of Internet Explorer.
