Microsoft engineer confirms you can download and install Android APK file on Windows 11
- Tram Ho
One very interesting and desirable feature of Windows 11, is the support for running native Android apps. In the Microsoft Store, you can find and download Android apps right on your PC. This feature is made possible through the integration of both the Amazon App Store and Intel Bridge technology.

However, for Android users, there is a big question: Is it possible to download the APK file of an Android application and install it on Windows 11? APK files will allow users to install Android apps without going through an app store, like the Microsoft Store, allowing for a much larger library of apps.
According to Microsoft engineer Miguel de Icaza, the answer is yes. However, keep in mind that this is just a personal sharing, not an official statement of Microsoft. Miguel also did not disclose how installing APK files on Windows 11 will be, whether it is similar to installing a normal Windows software.

And whether a regular Android APK file is compatible with Windows 11, or should it be a special APK file supported by the developer. There are many questions still being asked, and perhaps we will have to wait for more official confirmation from Microsoft.
