Microsoft has reviewed AI “Copilot” – the new generation of AI for the Microsoft 365 suite of applications for creating Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and Outlook email. In the future, AI could come up with first drafts of these apps, helping to speed up content creation and shorten workers’ working time.

In an online statement, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella expressed confidence that this new generation of AI will usher in a new wave of productivity growth.

Businesses are in a fierce competition to develop and deploy software that can reshape the way things work. The rush to invest and develop new AI-based products began with the launch of ChatGPT, the chatbot communication platform developed by Microsoft-backed startup OpenAI. This application demonstrates the potential of multilingual models as well as of past data integration technology to recreate content.

On March 14, Alphabet – Google’s parent company, and Microsoft’s rival, also announced new AI tools that integrate into its services such as cloud computing and email.
