According to the announcement, the Dimensity 1080 chip consists of eight upgraded cores with 2 Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6GHz, combined with Arm Mali-G68 GPU, improving powerful performance especially with graphics processing tasks. game. Developed with a 6nm process, Dimensity 1080 offers many energy-saving benefits that extend battery life over its predecessors.

One of the advantages of Dimensity 1080 is its ability to support image sensors with a resolution of up to 200MP. On the current market, there are only two smartphones equipped with this sensor, Motorola X30 Pro and Xiaomi 12T Pro in the high-end segment. With the arrival of Dimensity 1080, many mid-range smartphones in the future will be equipped with a 200MP camera, a sensor developed by Samsung.
