M1 MacBook machine with strange error causing confusion

More and more users are reporting similar bugs on MacBook laptops using M1 chips, the generation of processors developed by Apple itself. This error has been diagnosed related to the quick switch between user accounts feature, Fast User Switching.

When the screensaver takes over the screen like this, the user can still move the mouse pointer, but the computer remains largely frozen. Users now only have to close the screen and reopen, or press the power button, or press Alt + Command + Q to return to the login page.

The Fast User Switching feature causes your M1 Mac-chip to suddenly turn on the screensaver.

The error is reflected on the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and even Mac mini; as on all versions of macOS Big Sur, including the latest version 11.1.

Even when the screensaver is turned off in the system settings for all user accounts, the above error is unavoidable. Disabling Fast User Switching will prevent the problem from happening, only users lose the useful quick login feature.

One user shared his personal opinion: “I’m sure they’ll fix this soon. But things like this are the reason I never jump right into a new structure. If you depend on equipment for work, you need some level of stability. I will switch to Apple chips, but the possibility is M2. ”
