According to the Ministry of Finance, the Fund was established with the goal of receiving, managing and using domestic and foreign funding, support and contributions to purchase and import vaccines together with state budget resources. researching and producing vaccines in the country to immunize the people.
It is expected that Vietnam needs to buy 150 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine to vaccinate about 75 million people, with a total funding need estimated at 25.2 trillion VND.
The Ministry of Finance affirmed that all money donated, supported and voluntary contributions by domestic and foreign organizations and individuals will be fully and promptly focused on the #COVID19 vaccine fund, in the school. When necessary, there will be inspection and audit according to regulations. The Fund is operated openly and transparently under the supervision of functional agencies and will be made public for the people to know and supervise.
