Leaked image of Galaxy S22, Samsung’s smallest flagship in many years

After the design leak of the Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone (also known as the Note22 Ultra), Steve Hemmerstoffer continued to reveal the design image of the Galaxy S22. This is also Samsung’s smallest flagship smartphone in many years.

The leaked image shows a vanilla Galaxy S22, with a design similar to its predecessor Galaxy S21. The rear camera cluster is overflowing, the new design from last year continues to be applied by Samsung. Inside are 3 rear cameras with 12MP resolution, including a wide-angle camera, an ultra-wide-angle camera and a telephoto camera. The LED flash is located next to the module.

The front design of the Galaxy S22 is also unchanged. The 6-inch screen and the punch-hole selfie camera are in the middle. But the Galaxy S22 has been made better, with all bezels being the same. The uniform bezel design has been done before by Apple and Google on their smartphones.

The bezels and smaller screen size make the Galaxy S22 one of Samsung’s most compact flagships in years. In fact, the smartphone will be only slightly taller than the Galaxy S10e, launched in 2019.

However, moving towards a more compact flagship smartphone can be a risky decision. Apple tried to please users who like compact smartphones with the iPhone 12 mini, but failed miserably. Even so, the iPhone 12 mini is much smaller than the Galaxy S22, with dimensions of 131.5 x 64.2 x 7.4 mm.

Samsung’s Galaxy S22 is more compact than the Galaxy S21, but not quite a mini version. So many features, especially battery capacity, will not be cut. Instead, the smartphone can create a more comfortable feeling of use.

Galaxy S22 will not support S Pen like Galaxy S22 Ultra. So there will be a huge difference between the new smartphone versions of Samsung, users will also be easier to choose. According to leaked information, Samsung will launch 3 new smartphones, namely Galaxy S22, S22 Pro and Note22 Ultra (which is S22 Ultra).
