According to Articles 8, 9, 12 of Decree 59, an individual’s electronic identification account contains important basic information for identification. In particular, personal electronic identification accounts are divided into 2 levels with different information and use values.

Level 1 personal electronic identification accounts include the following information: Personal identification number; full name; date of birth; sex. In case of being a foreigner, there is more information about the number, symbol, date, month, year, type of document and place of issue of passport or international travel document.

Level 2 personal electronic identification account has full personal information like level 1, in addition to biometric information such as portrait photo, fingerprint, license, vehicle registration, health insurance card…

What should people pay attention to in order to ensure the safety of their electronic identity accounts?

To ensure the safety of their electronic identity accounts, citizens should pay attention to:

– Do not share account information with others.

– Log out of your account when lending the device to others.

– Stay up-to-date on application information to stay up-to-date with the latest news – notices on information security guidelines.

Is it possible to use an eID account on multiple devices at the same time?

As a rule, a citizen’s electronic identity account can only log in on a single device at a time. Therefore, citizens cannot use their electronic identity accounts on many different devices at the same time.

Instructions on how to check the devices that have logged in VNeID and cancel the device you do not want

Step 1:

First of all, we log into the VNeID application with our account. Next, in the main interface of the application, people will click on the Personal item at the bottom as shown below.

Step 2:

Switch to the new interface with management and setting items for VNeID accounts. People will click on Manage Devices to see which devices have been logged into the app.

Step 3:

As a result, everyone will see all devices that have ever logged into the VNeID application with the same account. At that time, people can check whether the devices logged into the VNeID account are suspicious, or do not know whose device it is.

Or for those who change a new device, you can also unlink the account with the old device, click Unlink. At this point, the VNeID application will ask if you are sure you want to unlink the device, if you want, just press the Confirm button and finish.
