According to the latest leak from Brazilian certification agency ANATEL, the iPhone 12 mini (A2471) and the iPhone 12 battery (A2479) are listed with 2227 mAh and 2815 mAh battery capacities respectively.

Thus, the battery capacity of the iPhone 12 is much smaller than the iPhone 11 (3110mAh). However, the battery life is equivalent. While the iPhone 12 mini model has no comparison with the previous generation, due to the absence of a predecessor.

The reason why the iPhone 12 has a smaller battery capacity, but the battery life is equivalent to the iPhone 11, is due to the A14 chip based on the 5nm process, which improves power efficiency. Both are also lower than the iPhone 11 Pro (3046 mAh) and 11 Pro Max (3969 mAh).
