The Indian Ministry of Electronics and IT said the reason for banning 59 Chinese applications was because of concerns related to theft and stealthy sending user data to servers outside of Indian territory.

Tensions between India and China are also escalating, due to border disputes. Many Chinese smartphone companies have postponed a new product launch event in India. Meanwhile, Indians are also boycotting many Chinese goods.
