[IFA 2019] Sony launches Xperia 5: High-end flagship smartphone in the palm of your hand

With Xperia 1 featuring a unique 21: 9 screen design and extremely attractive premium features, Sony has made its fans not disappointed. Today, however, at IFA 2019, Sony decided to take an even more unexpected and daring step. It is reviving its compact smartphone line, with a new name is Xperia 5.
While it’s impossible to say that a 6.1-inch smartphone is compact, the lengthy frame design makes the Xperia 5 really fit in the palm of your hand. While smartphone manufacturers flaunt their technological prowess, increase their screen sizes and aspect ratios, Sony takes an unexpected turn.
Xperia 5 has a 6.1-inch FullHD + OLED screen, with a 21: 9 CinemaWide ratio similar to the Xpeira 1. That means this smartphone is quite small in width, easy to hold in the palm and comfortable to use. Use with one hand.
Along with the CinemaWide display, Sony also equips the Xperia 5 with Dolby Atmos stereo speakers. In order to take advantage of the extended screen, Sony also provides quite useful screen split and multitasking features.
In terms of configuration, Xperia 5 is really a flagship with Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. 3,140 mAh battery capacity, not too much but still enough with a smartphone with FullHD + screen instead of QuadHD or 4K.
Xperia 5 also owns 3 rear cameras, arranged vertically in the upper left corner. 12MP main sensor, besides a super wide angle camera and a telephoto camera. Sony is proud of the new BIONZ X algorithm that enables super-fast and ultra-precise focusing. The rear camera can also record 4K videos.
Sony will start shipping the Xperia 5 in October, in black, blue, white and red. No pricing information is available at the moment, but it is likely that the price of this compact high-end smartphone will not be lower than $ 600.
