Huawei Watch GT 3 launched: High-end design, running HarmonyOS, with a “knob” like Apple Watch, priced from 8.7 million

Huawei recently launched the latest Watch GT 3 series in the European market. The new version brings a lot of software and hardware upgrades.

Huawei Watch GT 3 series inherits the sporty design of previous GT product lines, using a round watch face and a solid metal frame. Watch GT 3 has two size options, 42mm and 46mm, of which the 42mm version has a 1.32-inch AMOLED screen, and the 46mm is 1.46-inch AMOLED screen. The watch has two physical keys on the right side, of which one acts like the Digital Crown on Apple Watch, used for navigation.

One of the interesting features on this year’s version of GT 3 is the Huawei Healthy Living Clover, which allows users to create their own daily exercise challenges, similar to the Apple Watch’s Rings feature. In addition, Huawei also equipped the new 5th generation TruSeen heart rate sensor for the GT 3 series, along with a sensor that measures blood oxygen saturation with SpO2 index. Huawei Watch GT 3 supports more than 100 different sports modes, comes with 5ATM standard water resistance.

In terms of hardware, both Watch GT 3 models are equipped with 4GB of memory, compatible with both Android and iOS when connected via Bluetooth 5.2. The watch runs on the HarmonyOS platform but is a shortened version to install on smartwatch devices, similar to the LiteOS platform equipped on the GT 2 series.

Huawei Watch GT 3 has a battery life of about 7 days for the 42mm version and 14 days for the 46mm version.

The price of Huawei Watch GT 3 starts at 329 EUR for the 42mm option and 349 EUR for the 46mm option, equivalent to VND 8.7 million and VND 9.2 million. This is the price for the European market, the product will soon be launched in China on October 28.
