Huawei P50 will officially launch on July 29 29

Huawei’s next flagship smartphone is the P50, which will be officially launched on July 29. After several delays, Huawei announced it on its Weibo page. Huawei’s consumer division chief Richard Yu said that the smartphone will mark the “new era of mobile photography”, suggesting that the camera will be the main focus of the P50.

P50 will be launched in an extremely difficult situation, when Huawei is still suffering heavy losses from US sanctions. The most serious is the shortage of processor chips, when Huawei cannot produce its own Kirin chips and the number of chips in stock is increasingly depleted.

“For those reasons, the launch date of the P50 has been delayed,” Yu said. Finally, according to a recent rumor, Huawei P50 will probably be equipped with a Qualcomm processor instead of a self-made Kirin chip. But we will have to wait until this smartphone is officially launched to be able to confirm.

Like many other recent Huawei smartphones, the P50 will also not be installed with the Android operating system and familiar Google services. However, the P50 will launch first in the Chinese market and use the HarmonyOS operating system, so the absence of Google applications will not be too important.

Leaked images of Huawei P50 recently show that this smartphone will have a big change in the design of the rear camera cluster. It will be equipped with two very large circular camera clusters, promising many improvements in imaging capabilities.
