At today’s new product launch event, Huawei introduced two new MatePad tablet models in the high-end segment called MatePad Pro and MatePad 11. Both of these tablets possess a luxurious design. important, supports Stylus, and runs HarmonyOS.
Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6 and 10.8 inches
This is the most advanced tablet line introduced by Huawei in today’s event. The 12.6-inch version is equipped with a large 12.6-inch OLED screen, Full HD + resolution, covering 90% of the front area and supporting 100% DCI-P3 color gamut display. However, this screen of the machine only has a basic 60Hz refresh rate, not 90Hz or 120Hz, while the 10.8-inch version is equipped with a 120Hz IPS LCD screen with the same resolution.
Both versions of Huawei MatePad Pro support a stylus called the M-Pencil by Huawei. Users can use this accessory to take notes, draw or do other creative work. In addition, MatePad Pro also supports use as a separate monitor or a drawing board for use with a computer thanks to Extend and Mirror modes.
MatePad Pro is equipped with a 3 main camera system on the back including a wide-angle camera, an ultra-wide angle camera and a depth camera (resolution unknown).
In terms of performance, the 12.6-inch MatePad Pro will come with a Kirin 9000E chip, while the 10.8-inch version will be equipped with a Snapdragon 870 chip from Qualcomm. Both have 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. The 12.6- and 10.8-inch MatePad Pro have 10,500mAh and 7250mAh capacity batteries, respectively, with support for 40W wired and 27W wireless fast charging. Huawei promises its tablet can give up to 14 hours of battery life.
In addition, MatePad Pro also has an 8-speaker system, 4 recording microphones, support for the included full-size removable keyboard and mouse/trackpad support. The device will run on the HarmonyOS 2.0 platform developed by Huawei.
Huawei MatePad 11″
MatePad 11 is a shortened version of the Pro series with a 10.95-inch screen, using an LCD panel with 120Hz refresh rate and QHD + resolution. The device is equipped with a 4-speaker and 4-microphone system tuned by harman/kardon.
This version will be equipped with Snapdragon 865 chip from Qualcomm, 6GB RAM and 128GB memory. The device comes with a 7250mAh battery and supports 22.5W fast charging, also running on the HarmonyOS 2.0 platform.
Regarding the selling price, the 12.6-inch and 10.8-inch MatePad Pro versions will be sold in the Chinese market in the near future for 4999 yuan and 3799 yuan respectively, equivalent to 18 million and 13.7 million. The 11-inch version has not yet been announced. In addition, Huawei also sells an M-Pencil for 599 yuan, equivalent to 2.1 million dong.
