Huawei has recently launched Mine HarmonyOS, a HarmonyOS version dedicated to mining. This is the first time Huawei has opened HarmonyOS to the enterprise and enabled industrial use cases with a commercial version.
According to the information, Huawei Coal Mining Corporation and China National Energy Corporation have created an industry-first HarmonyOS-based system. Mine HarmonyOS, or “Kuanghone,” brings the same connectivity features to the mining sector as it does on consumer devices.
With Mine HarmonyOS, the company wants to break down the barriers between devices, while providing services for the smart digital transformation of the coal industry.
Huawei Coal Mining Corporation is a new subsidiary of Huawei, established in March of this year. Huawei Senior Vice President Zou Zhilei has assumed the position of Chairman of this Coal Mining Group.
To do this, Huawei is working with its industry partners to create a powerful smart mining solution that is secure, requires less manpower and saves energy.
Huawei has adopted a layered approach to its mining solution with different architecture based on Huawei Cloud and Mining ecosystem to combine and form smart coal mining.
The solution includes Minhong Internet of Things, industrial networking, cloud infrastructure, digital platforms, and mining applications. Among them, Kuanghong builds the mine’s unified interface platform and unified data format, laying the foundation for intelligent mining.
