How long does it take to fully charge Galaxy S20 Ultra 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charger?

Tram Ho

As Samsung’s current flagship flagship, the Galaxy S20 Ultra is equipped with a battery with a capacity of up to 5000mAh, allowing users to use the machine for a long time to recharge. The Galaxy S20 Ultra comes with a 25W fast charger, using a USB-C connection.

Recently, Phone Arena has conducted a test of the charging speed of the Galaxy S20 Ultra, to see how long the 25W charger will take to fully charge a 5000mAh battery.

25W charger is included with the device

Charging speed Galaxy S20 Ultra uses a 25W charger

After 15 minutes: 32% battery

After 30 minutes: 62% battery

After 45 minutes: 89% battery

After 59 minutes: Fully charged 100% battery

As can be seen, it only takes 1 hour to fully charge the 5000mAh battery of Galaxy S20 Ultra with a 25W charger is an impressive achievement. Meanwhile, with just 15 minutes of charging, users can also use the Galaxy S20 Ultra for at least a few more hours.

However, Samsung still sells a charger with a capacity nearly doubled, about 45W for users who want the fastest charging speed possible. To achieve this super-fast charging speed, the 45W charger is relatively larger in size, and comes with equally thick charging cables.

Phone Arena also conducted a Galaxy S20 Ultra charging speed test with a 45W charger, to see if the Galaxy S20 Ultra’s charging speed improved much more than the 25W charger.

Charging speed Galaxy S20 Ultra uses a 45W charger

After 15 minutes: 37% battery

After 30 minutes: 70% battery

After 45 minutes: 92% battery

After 59 minutes: Fully charged 100% battery

As can be seen, with the charging capacity is nearly double that of the 25W charger, 45W charger has faster charging speed, but the gap is not too big: Galaxy S20 Ultra reaches about 37% battery after 15 minutes of charging, while The 25W charger charges 32% of the battery in the same amount of time.

Similarly, after 30 minutes of charging, the Galaxy S20 Ultra reaches 70% battery with a 45W charger; and 62% battery when using 25W charger. Remarkably, the more fully charged, the speed of these 2 bulbs is almost no difference. Both took 1 hour to fully charge the 5000mAh battery on the Galaxy S20 Ultra.

According to Phone Arena, if you are busy, do not like to have to plug in for too long and want the fastest charging speed possible, the 45W charger is completely ‘worth the money’. Conversely, if you are not too concerned about charging time, the 25W charger supplied with the device is more than enough.
