Motorola left the high-end smartphone segment two years ago, after the failure of the Moto Z2 Force. However, with 5G technology getting the attention of users, Lenovo-owned phone company is looking to return, with the launch of a completely new flagship smartphone.
The smartphone will be called Motorola Edge + 5G. As the name implies, the smartphone will have a screen that bends over two sides, with an ultra-thin bezel. The upper and lower edges are also very small, giving an impressive overall design.
The screen size can range from 6.5 to 6.8 inches, FullHD + resolution, frequency 90Hz. Pursuing a modern design, Motorola Edge + 5G has a screen with a punched selfie camera. However, if this design image is accurate, we can see that the size of the camera hole is super small.
Behind, Motorola Edge + 5G cluster of 3 cameras arranged vertically. This camera cluster is quite large and convex, the layout is not really balanced making the back design is not too impressive. Next to the camera cluster is an LED flash and a sensor, which can be a depth sensor or laser autofocus system.
However, the highlight of this smartphone is the Motorola logo with LED lights around. This LED can be used to notify messages, calls or notifications. However, it is unclear whether the logo part will integrate with the fingerprint sensor or not, maybe for a current high-end smartphone, the fingerprint sensor will be integrated under the screen.
As confirmed by Verizon, Motorola’s next flagship smartphone will be equipped with Snapdragon 865 chip, Snapdragon X55 5G modem, 8G or 12GB RAM and battery capacity can be up to 5,170 mAh.
