GoPro Hero 9 Black release: Supports 5K 30fps video recording, has a front-facing LCD secondary screen, battery life increased by 30%

The GoPro Hero 9 Black is the latest successor to the Hero 8 Black launched last year. The GoPro action cam has many bright upgrades such as the ability to shoot 5K video, take photos with 20MP resolution, new HyperSmooth 3.0 image stabilization, a color screen on the front and increased battery life.

The manufacturer said, the GoPro Hero 9 Black has a large 2.27 inch screen on the back, especially the first time there is an extra 1.4 inch LCD screen on the front, making it easier to capture and shoot selfie footage.

The device supports video recording up to 5K 30fps or 4K 60fps or 1080p 240fps. In particular, it is capable of capturing RAW images and playing livestream videos at 1080p resolution.

The GoPro Hero 9 Black has up to 30% (1,720mAh) more battery life than the older generation. So it’s not surprising that the device is somewhat larger and weighs 158 grams. The GoPro Hero 8 Black version weighs only 126 grams.

As noted above, the Hero 9 supports new HyperSmooth 3.0 image stabilization and a horizon lock feature that keeps the video steady even when you’re rotating the camera 360 degrees.

As a professional action cam, the Hero 9 allows users to use it underwater at depths of up to 10m.

It is compatible with more than 40 GoPro accessories and mods so users can enjoy their creativity while taking photos and movies. In addition to the Hero 9, GoPro also introduced the Max Lens Mod accessory set, helping to increase the field of view and better image stabilization.

The GoPro Hero 9 is now available on the market for $ 450 ($ 10.4 million).
