Google is working hard to improve the ability to use offline Google Maps and new updates will be provided later this year.

Previously, Google had provided offline maps for mobile devices, however, users will still need to use a network connection when we start navigating, downloading map information in advance to the device just reduced the connection capacity arises, particularly mobile connection data. However, with the new updated version that is about to be launched later this year, users can navigate even without connecting network.

Google Maps will support better for offline

Besides, the new Google Maps also allows users to search for locations, landmarks and use offline navigation feature by voice. In addition, Google offers additional search features, hidden navigation in order to bring the “safety“ to the users even if they do not get the “secured connection“ in the developed countries in the world.

With addition search feature and offline direction, Google Maps will account for a fairly large memory space on the mobile device. Wonder if Google will offer any solution to solve this issue in a forthcoming updated version. More likely, they will offer according to the location of users when signing up to register Android for the first login. After that, users will have to download more content once expanding the navigation.
