Gojek Vietnam officially “replaced” GoViet, renamed GoBike to GoRide, aimed at developing Payment and building 3 super applications.

On the morning of August 5, Gojek officially announced the launch of Gojek app in Vietnam.

From 6:00 am, customers in Vietnam have access to the ride-hailing service (GoRide), delivery (GoSend), and food ordering (GoFood) on the Gojek app – available for download from the store Apps for iOS and Android operating systems.

Also from today, the GoViet app officially stopped working. The red uniform color of the GoViet drivers will also change to blue and black uniforms, along with the Gojek logo on the left chest and the Vietnamese red-yellow star flag on the right chest.

Sharing the upcoming plan, Mr. Phung Tuan Duc – General Director of Gojek Vietnam – said that in the immediate future, Gojek Vietnam will focus on completing the “golden triangle” with 3 main service areas including: Moving , Shipping , and Payment .

From this “golden triangle”, we aim to create not only one super application but three super applications. In addition to super applications for users, super applications for driver partners, and partners restaurants, helping them increase productivity, manage work more effectively, “said Duc.

The main color of the new app also changes from red to blue.

New features of Gojek Vietnam are introduced including: ‘ Home 4.0′ – the latest version of the Gojek home screen, has a simpler, more seamless interface; and ‘ Favorite and favorite food’ , allowing users to like and save their favorite food in the GoFood app for convenient ordering next time.

Other advanced features include: ‘ Photo sharing’ , allowing customers and driver partners to exchange images for better contact with line items – such as exact pick up and drop off locations customers and the status of goods – so customers feel secure when ordering; ‘ Trip Trip Sharing’ , which allows users to share their trip itinerary with family and friends to ensure safety and convenience; and ‘ Multiple orders at the same time’ , which allows to place multiple orders at once on all three services.

Users can also access the Gojek app in all countries where Gojek operates, including Vietnam, Indonesia and Singapore. The Gojek app will be available in Thailand in the coming weeks.

Earlier, in early July, GoViet announced that it would merge the application and brand with Gojek in a long-term strategy to create a long-term positive impact and promote innovation for customers in Vietnam.
