The closer we get to the Galaxy Unpacked August event, the more rumors we hear about the products introduced by Samsung at the event. While much information about the Galaxy Note20 has been revealed, recently, a rare real photo of the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Samsung’s next high-end folding smartphone, has been revealed, confirming some of previous rumors.

Specifically, this image was shared through the Korean Naver portal through the famous leaker Max Weinbach. Different from the leaked render image, this image is the actual image. And although it does not show the back of the Galaxy Z Fold 2, we can confirm that the main screen of this device has some certain upgrades.

According to previously leaked information, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 will have a 7.7-inch main screen larger than the first Fold, which is also expected to have a 120Hz refresh rate. From the image above, we can see that the size of the device has improved a lot, almost equivalent to the Huawei Mate X. In addition, Samsung has also removed the screen missing area, replaced by a “note” type. “Infinity-O” fly is more common (note that the “mole” area is lighter in color). The image does not show us the back of the Galaxy Z Fold 2, so we cannot confirm the back design of the device.

As for the name, Samsung has confirmed it will change its name from Galaxy Fold to Galaxy Z Fold. Samsung wants to “consolidate” all its folding screens together under the same name “Z”. Now in the high-end smartphone segment, Samsung has the Galaxy S, Galaxy Note and Galaxy Z (Z Flip and Z Fold).
