Galaxy S20 FE revealed renderings: plastic shell, Snapdragon 865 chip, price 17.5 million

After the launch of the S20, S20 + and S20 Ultra earlier this year, Samsung is said to be developing a new smartphone in the same series, called the Galaxy S20 FE. Recently, leak specialist @OnLeaks has suddenly shared the rendered image of this phone, thereby giving us a clearer look at the design right before the launch date.

As expected, the Galaxy S20 FE will still have the same design as the standard Galaxy S20, with a flat, slightly curved AMOLED screen on the sides and a “mole” in the center to accommodate the selfie camera.

According to the source, the frame of the Galaxy S20 FE is made of chrome-plated metal, while the back is likely to be a matte plastic that resists fingerprints. The device will have a screen that ranges from 6.4 inches to 6.5 inches, and the overall physical size is 161 x 73 x 8mm.

The back of the Galaxy S20 FE is also home to a 3-camera system placed in a rectangular module, which looks exactly like the Galaxy S20. About the connector and buttons, we will have the power button and the volume up and down keys on the right side, while the bottom edge has a USB-C port, external speakers and microphone recording. In addition, the machine also has the SIM tray located on the top edge.

Unfortunately, Samsung still won’t bring back the 3.5mm headphone jack on the Galaxy S20 FE, similar to other devices in the series. In addition, due to the absence of a fingerprint sensor on the back, it is likely that this phone will have an integrated fingerprint sensor under the screen.

In terms of specifications, rumors suggest that the Galaxy S20 FE will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 processor. The device comes with up to 8GB of RAM, up to 512GB of internal memory and pre-installed Android 10 operating system, with the latest OneUI 2.5 interface when sold.

Last month, leak specialist Ice Universe revealed that the Galaxy S20 FE will feature a 12MP Sony IMX555 main camera, which is also the sensor used on the Galaxy S20. In addition, the rear camera cluster of the machine also includes a 12MP wide-angle camera, 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Meanwhile, the selfie camera on the front has a resolution of 32MP.

Galaxy S20 FE is also said to have a 120Hz screen, a 4500mAh battery with fast charging, water and dust resistance according to IP68 standards. Besides the 5G version, Samsung will also launch a 4G version of the Galaxy S20 FE at a cheaper price, although it is possible to use a completely different chip.

According to Korean site The Elec, Galaxy S20 FE 5G will be sold for $ 750 (about 17.4 million) and launched in October this year, significantly higher than the Galaxy S10 Lite. The phone comes in 4 color options: Red, White, Green and Orange.
