Galaxy Buds 2 revealed: Design like Buds Pro, colorful, no noise cancellation, launched with Galaxy Z Fold3

Besides the product lines that are expected to launch in the Galaxy Unpacked event in August such as Galaxy Z Fold3, Z Flip3 or Galaxy Watch4, Samsung will also introduce an upgraded version of the Buds wireless headset line. Specifically, although the name of this headset has not been confirmed, many sources say that the next generation of Buds will be called Galaxy Buds 2.

Recently, many new render images of the Buds 2 have surfaced, showing us a detailed design of this headset right before its launch. Accordingly, the Galaxy Buds 2 will be codenamed SM-R177, the design is inspired by the Buds Pro series launched earlier this year. However, in this version, the Galaxy Buds 2 will have a rather unique two-tone design: the outer charging case will be white while the “interior” inside will have more color options such as black, blue, white… The charging case of the headset will have two LEDs (outside and inside).

Galaxy Buds 2 will come with at least two recording microphones on each earphone, an infrared sensor for motion detection and a charging pin to charge the headset. Buds 2 will integrate Bluetooth 5.0 technology (supports AAC, SBC and SSC codecs), fine-tuned by AKG and supports touch operations. According to leaked information, the battery capacity of Buds 2 will be smaller than that of Buds +.

In addition, new information also says that the Galaxy Buds 2 will not come with active noise cancellation (ANC) technology like the Galaxy Buds Pro.

Galaxy Buds 2 is expected to have the same price as the previous Buds + line. The product will launch this summer.
