A job fair will be held in Ho Chi Minh City this weekend to recruit Vietnamese talents for local firms and French companies in Vietnam, the French Consulate General announced Monday in a press conference.

The France-Vietnam Job Fair 2015, jointly organized by the French Institute of Vietnam, the French Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, and the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (CCIFV), will take place at the Novotel Saigon Center at 167 Hai Ba Trung Street in District 1 on April 18 from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm.

The fair is meant to help French companies based in Vietnam and local firms to bolster their reputation and find potential applicants who meet their employment requirements.

This event will also create a chance for students, fresh graduates, and experienced candidates, including Vietnamese who have studied in France as well as those who have obtained a French degree in Vietnam, to seek around 100 employment opportunities.

Sixteen participating companies include French and Vietnamese firms operating in such fields as commerce, banking and finance, IT, telecommunications, industry, construction, hotel and tourism, and education and research.

Successful applicants will be able to work at such well-known companies as Accor Asia Pacific, Big C, Bureau Veritas, L’Oreal Vietnam, FV Hospital, Capgemini Vietnam, and Odyssea Hospitality.

Jobseekers can send their resumes to vieclam.phapviet@gmail.com. People who have qualified resumes might win a chance to meet with the employers at the event.

Applicants must be fluent in English, while being able to speak French is a plus, according to Guillaume Crouzet, director of the CCIFV.
