FPT Shop fired 3 employees related to the case of stealing customer data to fix Macbook

The representative of FPT Shop affirmed that the employee’s behavior seriously violated the regulations and rules. After today’s meeting, the company fired a technical staff, a shop manager (appeared in customer feedback videos) and a customer service staff.

“This incident, you guys have arbitrarily went against the company’s regulations. The company has regulations on what employees are allowed and not allowed to do,” FPT Shop said.

Right this morning, the leader of FPT Shop in charge of engineering asked the technical staff to show all the stored data and ask to delete it all.

“The company affirms that it stands to receive compensation for mental damages with customers and customers also agree with the company’s handling,” added FPT Shop.

FPT Shop is a genuine Apple product distribution partner in Vietnam. Therefore, the Company actively contacted Apple to assist in the deletion of exposed customer data. In addition, FPT Shop also continues to monitor to ensure that there are no problems with customers surrounding this incident.

Contacting Apple also helps FPT Shop be more proactive in tracking customer data after it is downloaded to the personal computer of the technical staff.

Previously, on September 21, MXH was stirred up by the information that a customer was stolen by the technical staff of an electronics store, sharing the customer’s personal information when bringing the device to repair.

On the afternoon of September 21, the representative of FPT Shop also worked with customers and informed about the story of internal handling with customers.

Currently, FPT Shop is continuing to contact and work with customers to solve the case.
