In an article with his client, Kuo said that Foxconn’s Zhengzhou factory is currently producing Apple’s most important iPhone models, believed to be the soon-to-be-released iPhone 11 and iPhone SE 2 series. . The plant is scheduled to be reopened on February 2, but has since been shut down for at least another week. The rate of recognition of working after a vacation to avoid the epidemic may be only 40-60%.

The iPhone models for 2020 are currently being developed at the Shenzhen factory, having to work through the Lunar New Year to keep pace. But due to the Corona epidemic, the number of employed employees has also been reduced to 30-50%. Due to the delay of these two plants, Foxconn moved development and production to India and another factory in Shaanxi. However, the production capacity of these two factories is said to be quite low, not meeting Apple’s needs.

But according to Kuo, this figure is in fact only about 60-70%, because many employees intend to quit after receiving a salary last month.

Pegatron’s factory in Kunshan, which is in charge of producing the iPhone SE 2, is scheduled to open on February 10, but has also been delayed for a few days, with the number of employees returning to work at an estimated 40 – 60%.
