In the last few years, Apple has been pushing the message that the iPad Pro is not just a computer, it's the only computer you need. And then the company's representative was refuting that.
Two years ago, an Apple ad showed that a young girl decided to choose an iPad Pro by declaring that she did not know what a computer was. A year later, the company claimed the iPad Pro was a computer and asked users to visualize what they could do with that iPad.
The company even gave five reasons the iPad Pro is a computer, one of which is that it has an inseparable part of the computer: a stylus.
Not only that, it is also said that Apple has deliberately made the MacBook worse in the eyes of users to force them to sided with the iPad. Is this another reason for the bad butterfly keyboards in recent MacBooks?
But last week, Apple finally gave up its argument. That's not just because they've launched the new 16-inch MacBook Pro with an old-style scissor keyboard, which is more reliable and stable.
In an interview with CNET during the launch of the new MacBook Pro, Apple's global vice president of marketing, Phil Schiller, said: " We believe the best personal computer is a Mac, and we want to keep going that way. And we think the best tablet computing device is the iPad and we will continue to do so . "
Perhaps MacBook users will find it satisfying to hear these words. They will not have to turn away from their familiar computers to follow a more modern device for some idle reason. Perhaps Apple has finally acknowledged that, iPad is iPad and computer is computer.
Admittedly, iPad Pro can replace the MacBook or other laptops in many cases, but sadly, not all basic needs of users can use iPad to meet. Indeed for those who make money with the swipe and touch on the screen, and rarely need to write more than 100 words, iPad Pro is an appropriate choice for them.
Mr. Schiller himself also confirmed the use of each of these devices. He said: "The iPad is beneficial because we assume that you need to do almost everything with the touch, and we don't have to trade this into that experience. Macs are for the assumption that you want to do most things with the keyboard and mouse. We don't have to trade that choice . "
Perhaps after these words from Mr. Schiller, Apple will no longer make any statements about iPad Pro replacing computers.
