The tech giant said it began allowing employees to return to the office on July 6. For those who choose to work at home or are still in isolation, the company will support USD 1,000 or more than VND 20 million to pay for office supplies at home such as standing tables and chairs.

Google expects at least 10% of employees will return to the office after the July 4 vacation, and 30% of the workforce can return from work in the main office in September.
In an interview last week, Google CEO Sundar Pichai said that he didn’t want to have too many people working remotely without going to the company’s office space. Google’s office is well known for the privileges it offers employees like free dry cleaning, meals and the gym.

“I hope we will return to the common space soon to be able to connect groups and work more effectively. We now have a lot of immediate growth plans that require direct communication.” CEO Pichai spoke.
Google’s announcement comes days after Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg allowed half of Facebook’s employees to be online within the next 5-10 years, and most recently Facebook began allowing some units. Work from home full time to a lifetime.
