Apple launched the iPhone 11 series in September last year. Completely different from the previous generation, the company has bundled an 18W fast charger with the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, although the standard iPhone 11 version still has a regular 5W charger.
According to a Twitter user named Mr-white, Apple will upgrade the USB-C PD fast charger for iPhone 12 to 20W. In addition, since the iPhone 12 still uses the Lightning port, users will also be offered a USB-C to Lightning cable for fast charging.
Some sources say this year, Apple will launch four different iPhone 12 versions, including a model with a 5.4-inch screen, two 6.1-inch models and a high-end model with a 6.7-inch screen. Besides the 6.7-inch model, one of the two 6.1-inch models is equipped with a triple-camera system and a LiDAR sensor on the back, corresponding to the Pro Max and Pro versions.
Currently, it is not clear whether the 20W fast charger will only be available for the Pro variant or will be bundled with all four upcoming iPhone 12 models. If you don’t know, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max are the first two iPhone models that Apple has shipped with a quick charger and a USB-C to Lightning cable, although from iPhone 8 onwards both have supported 18W fast charging. .
