Elon Musk promises to make Twitter ‘the most accurate news source on earth’

According to RT , Elon Musk is committed to making Twitter the most accurate source of information in the world, typically allowing ordinary users to clarify confusing statements of the US government.

However, he added that he would let censorship advocates have a say in shaping his policies.

“Our goal is to make Twitter the most accurate source of information on Earth, unrelated to political parties,” Musk tweeted on November 2, below attaching a screenshot of a user who adding context to the misleading White House statement.

In it, using Twitter’s limited “community note” feature, one user pointed out that US President Joe Biden’s administration’s statement about “elderly people receiving biggest increase in Social Security support in 10 years under President Biden’s leadership” is a lack of context.

The person added that the increase in support is due to an increase in the cost of living, as inflation increased from 1.4% to 8.2% during Mr. Biden’s leadership.

Billionaire Elon Musk acquired Twitter for $44 billion last week and immediately started making changes to the business. Since then, the billionaire has disbanded Twitter’s board of directors, announced plans to charge users, and announced his intention to become the company’s CEO.

Musk previously said that the Twitter acquisition is aimed at returning the platform to free speech, but the billionaire has yet to make any changes to Twitter’s content moderation policies.
