Elon Musk wrote: “I challenge Vladimir Putin to a duel, the main reward is Ukraine. Do you accept this challenge?”. Elon Musk wrote in Russian and directly tagged President Putin’s English Twitter account.

While some followers commented that Elon Musk may not be thinking through what he said, Musk insisted that he was “absolutely serious”. He added: “If Mr. Putin easily defeats the West, then he will accept this challenge. But he will not.”

The Kremlin did not immediately respond to Elon Musk’s “declaration of war”.

Elon Musk, 50 years old, was born in South Africa. He is someone who has always expressed support for Kyiv. This month, he tweeted “Kyiv stay strong”, and expressed sympathy for the people of Russia, who do not want this war.

He also responded to calls to support Kyiv by sending Starlink terminals to help maintain internet connectivity in conflict zones in Ukraine.

According to Forbes calculations, Elon Musk is the richest person in the world with a net worth of $219.1 billion, nearly $50 billion more than the world’s second-richest person, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.
