DxOMark rated iPhone SE 2020 taking worse pictures than Xiaomi

DxOMark is a website specializing in evaluating and ranking camera quality on smartphones. However, there are still many users doubting the reliability of DxOMark, and the number of cameras that the company offers is still a controversial topic.

Recently, DxOMark has just published a review of the shooting capabilities of the iPhone SE 2020 and once again surprised many people. Specifically, Apple’s latest low-cost smartphone achieved 101 points in the camera quality assessment, not even reached the top 20 most beautiful smartphone photography today.

In DxOMark’s rankings, iPhone 2020 ranked 36th, ranking on a number of phones such as HTC U12 + 2018, ASUS ZenFone 6, Motorola Edge + and Xiaomi Mi 9. However, its camera quality is only rated The price is on par with the iPhone XR launched in 2018, Google Pixel 3a and slightly inferior to the Redmi K20 Pro.

When it comes to photography, the iPhone SE 2020 reaches 103 points and in many situations, the image obtained from the camera of this phone is equivalent to the more expensive iPhone 11. However, due to only one camera, the iPhone SE 2020 lacks many important features, including optical zoom and background image removal. When it comes to video recording, the iPhone SE 2020 is highly rated for accurate exposure, wide dynamic range, true colors, good image stabilization, and fast focusing. However, the video obtained still has noise and the level of detail is not really impressive.

As for the selfie camera, the iPhone SE 2020 scored slightly better when it reached the top 20 in the DxOMark rankings. With 84 points, this phone comes in 17th place, on par with Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G and Xiaomi Mi MIX 3.
