Detecting a series of serious vulnerabilities that cause iPhone to be hacked, users need to do this immediately to limit risks!

In a notice released on March 17, the Government of India has asked iPhone users in the country to update to the latest iOS 15.4 to prevent the possibility of hacker attacks.

According to News18 ,the Indian government has asked iPhone users in the country to update their smartphones as soon as possible so as not to be affected by “dangerous security holes found in the products”. Apple products.”

Warning issued by CERT-In, Indian Computer Emergency Response Team, on March 17 with severity rating “High” for multiple security vulnerabilities in older iOS

The warning refers to the vulnerabilities found that allow attackers to gain control and execute arbitrary code on the affected users’ iPhones , and potentially gain access to sensitive information and bypass the security restrictions on the victim’s iPhone.

The notice also states that the causes of the series of vulnerabilities stem from: Memory initialization problems,peripheral read-write problems , memory corruption, use after free , uninitialized pointer declaration, validation problems , cookie management, authentication problems in handling symlinks, permissions issues, buffer overflows, memory management issues, access issues, and UI issues.

A remote attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by tricking victims into opening a specially crafted file or application, according to CERT-In.

Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities could allow an attacker to gain control and execute arbitrary code on the victim’s iPhone, bypassing iOS ‘s security system, CERT-In said.

According to CERT-In , affected Apple software versions include: iOS and iPadOS versions older than 15.4, WatchOS older than 8.5, Apple tvOS older than 15.4, Apple iTunes for Windows version 12.12.3, macOS is older than Monterey 12.3, Apple TV software is older than 7.9, Logic Pro X is older than 10.7.3, and Apple Xcode is older than 13.3.
